Happy Friday!

My sweet baby is officially in the double digits.

Today Mattie turns 10 weeks old.

Time flies!

It's spring time so I made a new dress!

SO I did something super wild today...

I mean really stinking crazy.

BUT

I am not going to tell you what!

Well not yet at least ;)

I am going to show you an entirely too cute dress I made.

But before that, guess what...

I found my new favorite thing in the blogging world

Sew A Longs!

(I know, I know... I am SO new at this blog thing :)

Anywho, this dress is the product of my first sew a long adventure!!

If you want to make one too

it is so easy

just follow this tutorial.

Warning: excess amount of pictures of me... sorry about that.

This is the perfect little dress for church

(Aren't these shoes so cute. They were my grandmothers!)

(If you decide to make this dress I think a thinner fabric would hang nicer!)

Or, switch up the belt add some funky shoes and go out on the town!

A few of my favorite things...

I have scored some great finds lately and I wanted to share!

I had a fun little shopping trip to Jo-Ann's with a gift card in hand

and two little cuties by my side.

Then on the way to an art festival I stopped at a yard

sale and found some fabulous goodies!

The detail is stunning.

mmm... and I have NO idea what I am going to with them!

But I do see paint in the very near future...

And finally

I stopped by old time pottery on my way to a baby shower 

and found

For only a buck fifty in the discount section, I couldn't pass up this baby.

I am seeing a little chalk board paint in this frame's future!

OOOOHHH! and I finally found the material for Zadie's window seat!

Now to find the time to make a cushion!

and a dress.

and a skirt for Zadie.

I better get busy :)

And for a little laughter-

Zadie got into the junk drawer and found a wig we had laying around.

(Don't judge- we have wigs in our junk drawer. That is totally normal :)

Life is good

I've told you about my funk in a previous post.

The hubster has really been encouraging me to let 

my screw-ups go and enjoy my life.

So I listened because,

hey what can I really do about it beside apologize and move on.

Let's just say I have been apologizing A LOT lately

to friends, family, the doctor, my dogs...

the list goes on and on :)

Ah, but so goes life right.

We win some and we lose some.
